I could eat their Meat Thalis every day for the rest of my life. Absolute perfection.
Easily the best Indian in Bristol by a mile. -

So I revisited this place and again the food and service was great except everything was just so greasy. At the end I realised that even though everything was vegetarian, I didn't think to ask if they cooked the food in ghee!
I really hope not as why would you cook vegetarian dishes (which ofcourse the vegetarians and vegans are going to order, there's alot in Stokes Croft) in animal fat or butter?? -

Indian Fast Food is located on the lower end of Gloucester Road near the Arches. It serves your standard kormas and massalas and to be honest there isn't much that sets this place apart all the other Indians in the nearby area.
The food is of a reasonable standard, however the meat isn't the greatest quality and some of the dishes do lack taste. Inside it isn't very well decorated, it feels a bit cold and bare, and definitely lacks any sort of atmosphere. In my opinion it would be better to grab a takeaway rather than sit down for a meal.
On the plus side, staff were lovely and the food was served promptly and it tasted like the dishes were cooked fresh. It's just a shame that the interior isn't up to scratch. -

Recently moved to 210 Cheltenham Road, but don't worry, everything else about Indian Fast Food Restaurant and Takeaway is the same. They've taken the lets-make-sure-everyone-knows-what-we-are-from-our-name route which I suppose, in a way, you have to respect.
They do indeed serve Indian fast food, oddly for this sort of joint, you can eat in their restaurant. You can bring your own alcohol which is usually the sign of a not so good restaurant! As a take away however, they are pretty average. All the usually Indian fast food options and maybe one or two more. The set meals are okay, but I would recommend ordering off the menu more - it means you really get what you want without a great price difference anyway. -

This Indian fast food restaurant isn't by any means one of the best in Bristol, and in my opinion they could really do with doing something about the exterior of the place as it just doesn't look attractive at all. From the outside it's bright red and white, very tacky, and looks like a kebab shop and not somewhere you'd want to eat in for a meal.
In terms of the food it is pretty average, and tasty enough - they also have a bring your own booze policy which can make for a cheaper night (quite unusual though, I guess they just don't have an alcohol licence?). Price wise this place is very cheap, which is kind of reflected through the whole make-up of the building - even inside the décor is tacky and it's not the nicest place to go out for a meal.
I would probably say that this is the kind of place you might go with a friend for a quick and cheap meal to fill a gap, but not somewhere you'd go with your parents or for any special occasion... in my opinion Asian Spicy just down the road offers a much more pleasurable experience!
